Job Description

Full job description

Join the premier crypto-native accounting firm recognized by Forbes as a 2025 Best-In-State Top CPA.

We serve high-net-worth crypto investors, protocols, startups, and blockchain-enabled businesses with elite tax, accounting, and advisory services.

We’re hiring a Reconciliation Analyst to support high-volume crypto transaction reconciliation, cleanup, and accounting data integrity for tax, audit, and financial reporting. This is execution-heavy, repetitive, accuracy-driven reconciliation work inside an accounting firm.

We are looking for process-oriented accounting operators who want to build mastery in transactional accuracy, reconciliation, and accounting-side data integrity with direct impact on accounting, tax, and compliance deliverables.

Camuso CPA is not hiring seat-fillers. We’re building a new wave of crypto-native accounting operators from the ground up.

You will reconcile messy datasets, trace wallet-to-wallet fund flows, rebuild transaction histories, categorize thousands of crypto transactions, and produce audit-ready reconciliation outputs for senior accountants.

Work is rule-based, SOP-driven, and requires strong written documentation. You must enjoy deep-focus work, financial logic, and precision.

Why This Role is Rare

  • You’ll get hands-on experience in the most complex niche in modern accounting.
  • You’ll work directly with a Forbes-recognized U.S. firm, not through an agency or middleman.
  • You’ll work in the most complex reconciliation environment in modern finance: on-chain transaction tracing and high-volume digital asset accounting
  • You’ll be mentored directly by elite talent in both the U.S. and South Africa and have the opportunity to earn your way into higher roles as we grow.
  • You’ll be mentored directly by elite accountants in both the U.S. and South Africa and have the opportunity to earn your way into higher roles as we grow
  • You’ll gain rare, transferable skills: crypto transaction reconciliation, wallet-level accounting cleanup, subledger integrity, and audit-ready documentation

This Role Is Not for You If:

  • You can’t work U.S. EST hours full-time (6am–3pm EST)
  • You’re working multiple jobs or freelance gigs
  • You have zero interest in crypto, DeFi, or NFTs
  • You can’t pass a background check
  • You’re uncomfortable doing cleanup work and SOP-based tasks
  • You want soft deadlines and low-pressure workflows
  • You need hand-holding, reminders, or soft accountability
  • You are looking for analytics, dashboards, strategy, or advisory work

We’re building a firm that understands the complexity of on-chain finance, supports elite founders, and redefines what remote accounting can be.

The Role: Digital Asset Accountant (Crypto Cost Basis Reconstruction + Web3 Accounting)

You will be trained directly by senior South African and U.S.-based team members on real client work, proprietary SOPs, transaction analysis frameworks, cost-basis reconstruction, subledger design, and regulatory reporting standards.

This is not passive learning, it is applied, production-level training.

Our goal is to take motivated graduates and early-career professionals and develop them into some of the most capable reconciliation analysts in the market, with skills that are rare, transferable, and highly valuable long-term.
