Job Description

Duties

  • Market the FMD business, including but not limited to FX trading, fixed income trading and money market products, to clients and counterparties.
  • Conduct daily FX trading and other client-related trading activities
  • Support other responsibilities within the Trade and Business Development Team.
  • Prepare client marketing reports, business reports and any other duties assigned by the Team Head or General Manager.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of financial markets, with particular emphasis on the South African financial market.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and relevant marketing experience in a sales role.
  • Apply previous FX trading and/or sales experience gained within a banking environment.
  • Produce clear and professional reports in English.

 

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, awarded by one of South Africa’s top five universities or a recognised top 300 international university
  • RE5 certificate
  • Minimum of 1 years’ general financial markets experience within a bank, or at least 1 years’ FX trading and/or sales experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in trading book
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of financial markets business
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
