Job Description

The Social Media and Content Coordinator is responsible for managing the company’s social media platforms, creating content, posting approved campaigns, supporting live coverage and ensuring that all digital platforms remain active, professional and aligned to the company brand.

The role supports TEA, CEO’s personal brand, client campaigns, workshops, podcasts, newsletters and community platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Management

  • Manage daily posting across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp Channels
  • Ensure all platforms remain active and updated according to the approved content plan
  • Monitor comments, messages and engagement across platforms
  • Escalate important leads, complaints, stakeholder comments or urgent messages to management
  • Ensure posts are accurate, professional and aligned to the company’s tone

2. Content Creation

  • Create captions, short-form content, hashtags and calls to action
  • Capture content during workshops, client sessions, office activities and company engagements
  • Create basic designs using Canva where required
  • Support the multimedia team with ideas for reels, clips, interviews and short videos
  • Maintain a weekly content bank of photos, videos, captions and campaign ideas

3. Content Planning and Scheduling

  • Prepare weekly and monthly content calendars
  • Submit content for approval before posting
  • Schedule approved posts across relevant platforms
  • Track campaign dates, workshop dates, podcast dates and key company updates
  • Ensure newsletters, Mailchimp updates, LinkedIn newsletters and WhatsApp messages go out on time

4. Campaign and Engagement Support

  • Support live social media coverage for workshops, summits, activations and client campaigns
  • Work with photographers, videographers and designers to ensure content is delivered on time
  • Upload approved highlight reels, clips, graphics and videos
  • Ensure YouTube uploads are done according to the approved schedule
  • Check that thumbnails, watermarks, branding, names, dates and links are correct before publishing

5. Reporting and Digital Filing

  • Prepare weekly social media updates
  • Prepare monthly social media performance reports
  • Track reach, engagement, views, clicks, followers and audience feedback
  • Keep Google Drive and OneDrive folders updated with photos, videos, reports, captions and content plans
  • Keep a record of content posted, content still to be used and content that performed well

Requirements and Skills

  • Degree or diploma in Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing or online brand management
  • Proven experience managing business social media pages across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp Channels
  • Strong writing skills for captions, newsletters, short-form content and campaign updates
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good understanding of digital content planning and scheduling
  • Strong understanding of social media insights, reporting and platform performance
  • Basic Canva design skills
  • Basic understanding of reels, short videos and YouTube uploads
  • Ability to capture content using a cellphone, camera or company device
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be comfortable working from the office and travelling to company engagements when required
  • Must be available to support social media coverage on weekends and public holidays when company engagements take place

Key Performance Indicators

  • Content calendar submitted before the start of each month
  • Approved content posted on time across all required platforms
  • No avoidable spelling, date, name, branding or link errors
  • Weekly content bank updated
  • LinkedIn newsletters, Mailchimp updates and WhatsApp messages sent on schedule
  • Live coverage delivered during company engagements
  • Highlight reels, clips and follow-up posts uploaded within agreed timelines
  • Monthly analytics report submitted by the 3rd of each month
  • Google Drive and OneDrive folders updated weekly
  • Community platforms kept active and professional

Working Conditions

  • Based at the company offices Monday to Friday
  • Required to travel to workshops, activations, summits and client sessions when needed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
  • May be required to support social media coverage on weekends and public holidays
  • Must use company devices, passwords, logins and platforms responsibly
  • Must protect all company data, images, videos, client information and brand assets

The Social Media and Content Coordinator reports to management or the appointed project lead and works closely with the project team, multimedia team, administration team and external service providers where required.
