Job Description
A growing, market-leading organisation is seeking a Project Support Specialist to support the implementation and rollout of its software solutions for clients within the security industry. This role plays a critical part in both technical system implementation and in guiding clients to optimise their administrative and operational processes through effective use of the software.
Acting as a bridge between technology and business process excellence, the Project Support Specialist ensures clients realise maximum value from the system by aligning functionality with best-practice operational workflows.
This is a permanent, full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday) based in the Bryanston area. Travel will be required on a project-dependent basis, both within South Africa and to neighbouring regions such as Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Key Responsibilities
System Implementation & Configuration

Support the setup, configuration, and rollout of software solutions at client sites

Assist with data migration, user setup, and initial system testing

Coordinate with the Debtors Manager to ensure project timelines and deliverables are achieved
Client Engagement & Training

Facilitate client workshops to understand existing processes and identify improvement opportunities

Train end users and system administrators on functionality and best-practice usage

Provide post-implementation support to ensure successful system adoption
Business Process Improvement

Analyse and document client workflows within security environments (e.g. client liaison, technical administration, cancellations, finance)

Recommend and implement process enhancements using system capabilities

Collaborate with clients to align system usage with operational objectives and compliance standards
Project Coordination

Maintain project documentation, progress updates, and issue logs

Track milestones and proactively escalate risks or delays
-
Support testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance processes
Continuous Improvement

Provide structured feedback to internal teams on client requirements, feature requests, and system enhancements

Stay informed on software updates and industry trends within the security sector
Requirements
Essential
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administrative or operational roles within a security company (e.g. guarding, alarm monitoring, response, billing, or control room administration)

Strong understanding of security industry business processes, including contracts, incident handling, billing, and job scheduling

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Proven experience in system implementations, process mapping, or project support roles
Preferred
-
Hands-on experience with Listener or similar industry-specific software
-
Previous involvement in software rollouts, training initiatives, or business process improvement projects
-
Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
