Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support a Junior Financial Accountant
- Own and maintain order and financial databases, ensuring full data integrity
- Convert operational data into accurate, invoice-ready packs with supporting documentation
- Manage reconciliations across suppliers, transporters, fuel, ports, and clients
- Prepare weekly operational performance reports (e.g. tonnage, cost per ton, margins)
- Produce monthly financial reports, including cash flow, debtors ageing, and payables
- Monitor FX rates and assess their impact on margins and transactions
- Support Board and EXCO reporting through structured financial packs
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements in reporting and controls
Minimum Requirements
- BCom in Accounting or Finance (Honours advantageous)
- Completed or partially completed articles (advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills (essential) and experience working with financial databases
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
- Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or operational finance (advantageous)
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
