Our client is a respected player in the logistics sector, operating in a high-transparency, high-accountability environment. With a lean, entrepreneurial team, this role offers hands-on exposure to operational finance, FX tracking, invoicing structures, and executive-level reporting — all within a single, dynamic position.

This opportunity is best suited to an analytical and structured thinker who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and translating raw data into meaningful financial insights.

  • Own and maintain order and financial databases, ensuring full data integrity
  • Convert operational data into accurate, invoice-ready packs with supporting documentation
  • Manage reconciliations across suppliers, transporters, fuel, ports, and clients
  • Prepare weekly operational performance reports (e.g. tonnage, cost per ton, margins)
  • Produce monthly financial reports, including cash flow, debtors ageing, and payables
  • Monitor FX rates and assess their impact on margins and transactions
  • Support Board and EXCO reporting through structured financial packs
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvements in reporting and controls

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom in Accounting or Finance (Honours advantageous)
  • Completed or partially completed articles (advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel skills (essential) and experience working with financial databases
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or operational finance (advantageous)
  • Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems

Key Competencies

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a lean, high-responsibility environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

What’s in It for You

  • Real ownership and accountability from day one
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and Board-level reporting
  • A structured yet flexible working environment within a growing business
