What you will be doing:Â
- Oversee day‑to‑day activities of the local finance team
- Manage end‑to‑end financial ledger responsibilities, including monthly accounts and reconciliations
- Review payroll calculations, statutory submissions (EMP201/501), and regulatory reporting
- Liaise with relevant authorities (SARS, DIRCO) on tax, customs, and VAT matters
- Review and approve requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and banking authorisations
- Support documentation of finance processes, internal controls, and audit walkthroughs
- Act as primary contact for annual external and internal audits
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements
- Partner with ERP system teams to improve finance processes and controls
- Monitor IFRS and regulatory changes and advise on required accounting updates
- Provide training and support to finance and non‑finance staff
- Travel as required and support broader organisational projects and duties
What we are looking for:Â
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA) / ACCA) essential
- Completed articles with professional body registration
- 3–5 years post‑article experience in a similar finance role
- Full financial ledger management experience, including regulatory reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Experience leading or supporting a small team
- Proven ability to implement audit outcomes and improve processes
- Experience in budget development and cost analysis
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desirable
- Experience reporting to an international group finance function
- Multi‑currency ERP experience (Unit4 preferred)
- Experience collaborating with remote teams across regions
- Ability to create scalable, efficient financial templates
- Strong performance under pressure and commitment to continuous improvement
