About the GEPF Internship Programme

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for internship opportunities in the fields listed below. The GEPFuture Internship Programme is aimed at providing unemployed graduates with an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience and practical skills. The programme will run over a two-year period, from 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2028.

General Principles and Requirements

• The programme is aimed at unemployed graduates who have successfully completed at least a three (3)-year Degree/ National Diploma OR students who have passed all course work but require practical workplace exposure for completion of a qualification in any field specified below
• Applicants are only opened to South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
• Students that still need to finish or qualify for a Degree or National Diploma should not apply
• Applicants who have benefited from an Internship programme and have previous formal employment in the field of study will not be considered.
• Applicants must apply only for positions that are in line with their qualification

Supply Chain Management Intern

• BTech/Advanced Diploma /Degree in: Logistics / Supply Chain Management.

Human Capital Management Intern

• N6/National Diploma/Degree in: Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.

Investments Intern

Degree in:

• Investment Management,
• Economics,
• Finance
• Accounting,
• or related discipline.

Information Technology Intern

National Diploma/Degree in:

• Information Technology,
• Computer Science,
• or related discipline.

Legal (OMBUD) Intern

• Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB)

Graphic Design Intern

Diploma / Degree in:

• Graphic Design,
• Multimedia Design
• or related discipline

(Portfolio of evidence will be required from the shortlisted candidates.)

Secretariat and Administration Intern

N6/ Diploma/ Degree in:

• Business Administration,
• Business Management
• or related discipline.
