The available programmes are aimed at candidates who want to gain practical experience and develop technical skills within Eskom’s operational environment. The current intake consists of 24 positions across learner artisan, engineering and plant operator programmes.

Successful candidates will undergo institutionalised and workplace-based training and may gain experience within Eskom Operations and its various divisions.

The Learner Artisan intake consists of six positions across three technical disciplines:
- Mechanical: 2 positions

Learner Artisan Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens and meet at least one of the applicable qualification and subject requirements.
Candidates may qualify with a National N6 Certificate containing relevant Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics trade subjects, or an N4/N5 Certificate with relevant trade subjects.
Applicants may also qualify through the following routes:
- Grade 12: Mathematics 50%, Physical Science 50% and English 40%.
- N3: Mathematics 50%, Engineering Science 50% and English 40%.
- NCV Level 4: Mathematics 50%, Science 50% and English 40%.
Successful candidates will participate in institutionalised training as well as practical on-the-job training.
