Eastern Cape Provincial Treasury Internships 2026

The Eastern Cape Provincial Treasury is inviting applications for 40 internship positions as part of its 24-month Internship Programme for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 financial years.

The programme is intended for unemployed graduates who have completed the required qualification for their chosen field and have not previously taken part in an internship programme.

Successful interns will receive a stipend of R98 097 per annum.

Most positions are located in Bhisho, while several Municipal Financial Management opportunities are available across selected districts in the Eastern Cape.

Governmental ICT Management Internships

There are three positions available in Governmental ICT Management.

General Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the requirements for the specific internship they wish to enter.

The general requirements include:

  • A National Senior Certificate.
  • A relevant National Diploma at NQF Level 6 or Degree at NQF Level 7, recognised by SAQA.
  • Unemployed status.
  • No previous participation in an internship programme.

Additional qualification requirements may apply depending on the specific internship.

  • A completed Z83 application form generated by the e-Recruitment system.
  • A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae.

Applicants do not need to upload copies of qualifications or other supporting documents when initially applying.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of their qualifications and other relevant documentation on or before the interview.

The Department has advised that the Z83 form generated by the online system is currently not signable. Applicants will not be disqualified because the electronically generated form is unsigned. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to sign the form before or on the interview date.
