Etion Create Bursary Programme 2027
Etion Create is offering two bursary opportunities to high-achieving engineering students pursuing technology-focused qualifications in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
The programme is designed to assist students with the cost of their studies while helping develop the next generation of engineering professionals in South Africa.
Fields of Study
The bursary is available to students studying towards one of the following qualifications:
- BEng Electronics
- BEng Computer Engineering
Applicants should ensure that they are enrolled in one of the specified qualifications before applying.
What the Bursary Covers
Successful applicants will receive financial assistance towards the following study-related expenses:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
- Accommodation
- Meal vouchers
The bursary will cover one academic year, from January to December 2027.
Vacation Work
As part of the bursary programme, successful recipients will be expected to complete vacation work during 2027.
Applicants should therefore be willing and available to participate in the practical workplace component of the programme if selected.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Etion Create Bursary, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Have completed Matric.
- Have taken Mathematics in Matric.
- Have taken Science in Matric.
- Be enrolled in a BEng Electronics or BEng Computer Engineering programme.
- Have successfully completed their second or third year of study.
- Be registered at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa.
Who Can Apply?
The bursary is intended for students who have already made progress towards their engineering qualification.
Applicants must therefore have completed either their second or third year of the relevant degree at the time of application.

Applicants will need to provide the following supporting documentation:
- Certified copy of South African ID.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate.
- Complete academic record or university transcripts.
- Registration or acceptance letter.
- Recent invoice showing annual university fees.
- Updated CV.

Selection Process
Candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted and invited to participate in an interview.
Interviews are expected to take place during November 2026.
Applicants who do not receive communication should regard their application as unsuccessful.
