About our client
Our client is a luxury adventure travel company operating some of the world’s most exclusive expeditions from Cape Town. They deliver world-class hospitality and transformative experiences to a global clientele. Everything they produce — from a social caption to a printed magazine — carries a specific voice, aesthetic, and emotional register. They need a Content & Brand Lead to protect and develop that standard: someone with a sharp editorial eye and the copywriting chops to elevate every piece of communication that goes out the door.
What the job involves
- Writing and editing copy for core brand assets (website pages, campaigns, printed materials, experience descriptions, itineraries)
- Elevating copy produced by the marketing team before it goes live
- Writing blog posts, experience narratives, and editorial content as required
- Adapting brand voice across formats (long-form, headlines, captions) without losing consistency
- Reviewing all outgoing creative (copy, imagery, layout) for brand consistency and quality standards
- Providing structured feedback on creative work, tied to brand rationale
- Applying and maintaining brand guidelines across all channels
- Collaborating on social content strategy, captions, visual selection, and calendar management
- Supporting campaign delivery and translating briefs into creative frameworks
- Maintaining the brand asset library and briefing external partners (designers, photographers, videographers) to brand standards
What you need to be considered
- 3–5 years’ experience in a brand, creative, editorial, or copywriting role
- Strong written English — confident across multiple formats with a clear editorial instinct
- Demonstrable copywriting and editing skills
- A visual aesthetic — you have an eye, and you can brief against it
- Experience applying and maintaining brand guidelines
- Comfortable reviewing and giving constructive feedback on others’ work
- Ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines without losing quality
- Examples of your editorial and copywriting work must be included with your application — no examples, no response
Bonus points if you
- Have a background in luxury, travel, hospitality, or premium lifestyle brands
- Are familiar with and experienced in using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
- Have experience in a content lead, brand coordinator, or junior creative director role
- Have a photography or videography sensibility
