Job Description

Role purpose:

– We are looking for a skilled Marketing Data Analyst to join our team.

– This role is critical in analyzing marketing performance data and aligning it with business sales results to uncover insights that drive business growth.

– The ideal candidate will have expertise in digital media reporting, a strong technical background, and the ability to develop marketing dashboards that provide actionable insights.

– This candidate will work closely with the marketing team and functions as a key supporting role to develop data driven go to market strategies.

 

Key Accountabilities

– Analyze marketing performance data across multiple channels and correlate it with business sales performance to determine what messaging, platforms, and campaigns deliver the best results.

– Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and automated reporting tools that provide real-time insights.

– Work with marketing and sales teams to identify KPIs and create data-driven strategies to optimize marketing spend and improve conversion rates.

– Extract and interpret data from various digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and CRM systems to assess campaign effectiveness.

– Implement data visualization solutions and reporting automation using tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or Domo.

– Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, integration, and accessibility for analysis.

– Recommend A/B testing and marketing attribution analysis to refine marketing strategies.

– Stay up to date with the latest trends in data analytics, marketing technology, and digital advertising to continuously improve reporting and decision-making

 

Core Competencies

– Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience essential

– Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

– Proven experience in marketing data analysis, digital marketing performance tracking, and business intelligence

– Experience with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, CRM systems, and other marketing analytics tools.

– Hands-on experience in dashboard creation and data visualization.

– Knowledge of marketing attribution models and customer journey analytics.

– Strong understanding of business KPIs, revenue impact analysis, and ROI measurement.

– Technical proficiency in working with APIs, data warehousing, and marketing automation tools is a plus.

– Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • 3 year Business/Marketing related Degree or National Diploma essential
