Job Description

The Apprentice Millwright Learnership provides structured technical training and workplace exposure to develop qualified artisans capable of installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform fault-finding on machinery and production equipment
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
• Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
• Participate in theoretical training and workplace assessments
• Maintain accurate maintenance and training records

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Mathematics and Physical Science (Technical Maths accepted)
• Medically fit for industrial work
• Willingness to work shifts, standby, and overtime

• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Good communication skills
