Role Overview

This role is responsible for the ongoing management, enhancement, and strategic development of Hollywoodbets’ betting platforms, including Mobisite, Website, USSD, SyX, and related digital products. The position provides leadership across product innovation, platform performance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring optimal user experience, regulatory compliance, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Management & Product Development

• Maintain and enhance all existing betting platforms by identifying gaps, introducing new features, and improving functionality.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development and evolution of betting platforms.

• Define front-end and back-end functional requirements for SyX and digital platforms (mobisite and website).

• Drive market research, product innovation, and the development of new business ideas.

• Improve existing business processes and product workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Project & Delivery Management

• Develop and manage software development project plans, timelines, and specifications.

• Estimate development effort, establish deadlines, monitor milestones, and track all project phases through implementation.

• Identify and report risks or delays, coordinating corrective actions where required.

• Ensure effective handover to the Betting Product Owner prior to live releases.

Testing, Quality Assurance & Risk Management

• Lead and oversee full-cycle testing of product functionality and betting odds prior to production release.

• Conduct and supervise group testing across complete applications and software releases.

• Identify and eliminate application risks that could impact business performance, compliance, or customers.

• Analyse product-related risk, fraud trends, and betting behaviour, highlighting high-risk or high-value clients.

• Monitor odds accuracy and relevance across platforms.

Customer Experience & Performance Management

• Evaluate customer experience and consumer insights to identify opportunities for enhancement.

• Analyse root causes of customer and audit queries and implement initiatives to reduce recurring issues.

• Manage and resolve betting-related client queries in collaboration with internal teams.

• Report on product performance, usage metrics, and commercial outcomes.

Commercial & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with betting traders to maintain targeted GGR margins, implementing corrective strategies where required.

• Negotiate commercial terms related to product offerings, contracts, and partnerships.

• Review contracts to identify opportunities for additional value or reduced commercial costs.

• Establish and manage strategic partner relationships to grow product performance and market share.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the primary liaison between Software Development and the business.

• Communicate with internal departments to identify operational gaps and areas for process improvement.

• Guide developers and software architects by translating business needs into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

• Assist with BRDs for system integrations and platform enhancements.

• Support the creation of user manuals and system documentation.

Marketing, Compliance & Governance

• Drive marketing initiatives for betting products across iBranch and retail channels.

• Ensure compliance with GB approvals across all provinces.

• Maintain strong market awareness and competitor analysis, producing regular insight reports.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform any ad hoc duties as required to support business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle

• Strong betting industry knowledge and product understanding

• Experience in management, sales, or business development

• Understanding of IVR systems

• Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills
