<li>Execute OTC and listed single stock derivative trades with counterparties and inter-dealer brokers, managing firm inventory in compliance with transaction terms, internal approvals, and regulatory restrictions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with stock loan and funding desks to construct and optimise synthetic short coverage, enhancing balance sheet efficiency across delta one and wider equities financing businesses.</li>
<li>Service single stock futures clients in conjunction with derivatives and delta one sales teams, responding to pricing requests and supporting client growth strategies through precise and competitive execution.</li>
<li>Provide expert dividend and corporate action pricing to prime sales trading, offering critical insight into liquidity considerations, corporate action complexities, and election optimisation across all firm positions.</li>

<p><strong>What We Need From You</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Analytical and quantitative foundation — a tertiary degree from a reputable university in Finance or numerical discipline is strongly preferred, with demonstrable ability to apply quantitative reasoning to real-time trading and risk decisions.  Completed JSE RPE and Trader Examination modules will be an advantage.</li>
<li>Understanding of single stock derivatives and delta one products — direct exposure to equity swaps, single stock futures, total return swaps, or listed options within a front office or closely aligned function is highly valued.</li>
<li>Knowledge of corporate actions and dividend mechanics — familiarity with the lifecycle of corporate events (mandatory and voluntary), dividend forecasting, and their impact on derivative pricing and risk is a clear advantage.</li>
<li>Programming proficiency — practical experience with Python, SQL, or VBA to support data analysis, workflow automation, and system enhancement within a trading environment.</li>
<li>Relationship and communication skills — the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders across sales, prime brokerage, stock loan, funding, and technology, as well as external counterparties and clients.</li>

<p>The Company Secretarial team is a global team with responsibility for maintaining the integrity of Ninety One’s corporate governance framework. <p>We are looking for an individual with exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a robust understanding of legal and regulatory environments. This role requires a proactive approach to handling a broad range of responsibilities, from organising board and committee meetings and minute-taking to statutory filings, as well as being involved in a number of governance projects.</p>
<p>The Assistant Company Secretary role is highly demanding, requiring exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal and governance advice, including minute writing, and ensuring the organisation’s compliance with corporate governance regulations, statutory obligations, and best practices.</p>

<p><strong>Stakeholder &amp; regulatory engagement</strong></p>

<li>Act as the primary point of contact for senior managers, Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors, regulators, and governance stakeholders.</li>
<li>Engage with industry bodies, legal advisors, and corporate governance networks to stay abreast of best practices.</li>
<li>Support internal leadership with strategic governance and compliance decision-making.</li>

<p><strong>You should consider applying if you have:</strong></p>

<li>A law degree</li>
<li>Experience using entity management platforms and board portals (e.g. Diligent, GEMS, or similar tools) is advantageous.</li>
<li>Qualification as a company secretary</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of the South African Companies Act, King IV, and applicable governance legislation.</li>
<li>Experience in statutory filings with CIPC and corporate compliance matters.</li>
<li>Proven ability to advise senior leadership and boards on corporate governance and legal matters</li>

<p>To act as a Product Specialist of Ninety One IP and to be responsible for the delivery of key strategic initiatives with a particular emphasis on the Ninety-One offshore product range. As the Product Specialist, you&#8217;ll be at the forefront of promoting the Ninety-One Advanced Advisor Solutions proposition, driving growth and success in a dynamic and exciting market.</p>

<p><strong>In this role you will:</strong></p>

<li>Identify, develop, and manage offshore opportunities with the independent financial advisory space</li>
<li>Specialised sales activity (particularly related to offshore), assisting the sales team to achieve their sales targets through targeted value-add meetings</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of the Ninety-One offshore fund range, with the ability to assist advisors in utilising our offshore funds within our offshore product set</li>
<li>Assisting advisors and sales teams with complex client scenarios by providing bespoke proposals, ensuring sales opportunity is maximized and that this assistance is converted to deal flow into our products</li>
<li>Continually upskill oneself on both competitors and the offshore regulatory and tax landscape, create content related to this and assist in upskilling the Sales team on this material</li>
<li>Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the national IFA market</li>
<li>Present to our advisor base via a mix of one-to-one meetings, webinars and face to face events</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales managers, the product team, servicing teams, and senior management, to drive the proposition forward</li>
<li>Production of articles and content for presentations</li>
<li>Broadening revenue sources for Ninety-One IP by identifying the customer, regulatory and technology changes that will define the industry in years to come and ensuring we are well placed to capitalize on them</li>
<li>Exploring new commercial opportunities to increase revenue and driving key strategic product development initiatives within our local and offshore product sets</li>
<li>Interrogating new business partnership opportunities such as offshore trust companies</li>
<li>Assist Head of Sales in driving key sales focus areas of the business</li>

<p>The Investment Acceleration Programme attracts high-performing professionals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Recently qualified chartered accountants (CAs) with zero to two years of post-qualification experience</li>
<li>Professionals with technical degrees (e.g. medicine, engineering) who have an additional finance qualification (MBA, CFA, or master’s in finance)</li>
<li>Professionals with non-technical degrees (e.g., law, political science, or arts) who have an additional finance qualification (MBA, CFA, or master’s in finance)</li>
<li>Recent graduates (honours) with zero to four years of experience</li>
</ul>
